Where are Grassland located?Grasslands are located all around the world. Canada, Central Russia, Siberia, South America, Africa, Most of South India and Northern Australia.

ClimateNatural grasslands usually have about 10- 35 inches of rain per year but anthropogenic grasslands ( grasslands with human impact on the environment) Usually have up to 79 inches of rain per year . The daily average temperatures range between -20 degrees and 30 degrees. Grasslands have warm summers and cold winters with snow or rain.

TreesGrasslands don’t have many trees or bushes just wide open space full of grass and flowers, actually over 50% of grasslands are grass. When you think grass you probably just think of grass that grows in your yard but grasslands are filled with a variety of different grasses such as ..... Autumn Bentgrass, Bluejoint Reedgrass, Big bluestem, Broomsedge, Wild cane, Silky oat grass and many more....... Mixed with all these other grasses, Along with all these grasses are flowers. Many that are only found in grasslands. There are oxeye sunflowers, mist flowers, marsh marigolds, sweet flays, Monkey flowers, wood lilies and many mores. Although there aren’t many trees or shrubs there are a wide variety of trees and shrubs such as Fingetrees, silky willow, Hide tide bush, silky dog wood, pond pine, and many many more.
Insects
Grasslands are home to many insects. Eating away at the grassesand flowers are butterflies as well as grasshoppers, crickets, ants, lady bugs, dragon flies, and beetle species.
Herbivores
Herbivores are like vegetarians, they only eat plants. In a grassland biome there are many herbivores big and small......... gazelle, zebra, water buffalo, elephants, giraffes, gembrok, antilope, horns, tufted tail (black and white markings), Rabbits, mice, bison, deer, squirrels, ground hogs, rhinos.
Carnivors
Carnivore are animals who eat meat, other animals. In grasslands carnivore are everywhere, bears, foxes, bob cats, lynx, wolves, coyotes, lions, cheetahs, tigers, leopards, panthers, weasels, hyenas and more.
Birds
What’s a biome with out birds? In a grassland biome there are a whole bunch of different types of birds. There is a wide variety of birds, carnivores, herbivores, big and small....... white-tailed, hawks, horned, lark, barn owl, western meadows lark, mccowns, lark bunting, vasper, sparrow, savannah sparrow, bob link, Moutain plover, Northern harries.

How is a grasslands biome different?
- Grassland are different from a community because they don’t have people , buildings etc, Grassland biomes don’t have man made articles , only nature and natural things .

- Prince Edward country is located in the Boreal forest biome.

-In the world their a 6 different types of biomes , Tundra , Grasslands, Tropical Rainforests, Deserts , Boreal Forests and Temperate Deciduous Forests .
- Temperate Deciduous forests take up the greatest area of the world.
- The tropical rainforest has the greatest number of species in the world , The tundra biome has the least number of species.

Grasslands Stand OutGrasslands stand out from other biomes because of the rich soils found within them. The rich soils are the reason why grasslands are used for crops. Also grasslands lack trees, it’s just wide open space filled with grasses and wildflowers. Grasslands are home to over 80 species of animals and over 300 species of birds. These are the reasons grasslands stand out from other biomes.
